For Immediate Release
June, 2017

Helmuth Schaerf, personal manager and producer for Fireworks International, announces the upcoming release of Twelve MUSICAL PROJECTS with Jose Feliciano, plus a major U.K. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY TOUR for 2017.

A New Album with Jools Holland, featuring Jose Feliciano, recorded with the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, will be released on October 27th in conjunction with a 35-date tour of England, Ireland and Scotland beginning in Belfast on Friday, the 13th. This highly-anticipated tour includes London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday, November 24th & Saturday, 25th, plus Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Friday, December 15th & Leed’s Direct Arena on December 22nd.

Additionally, in a diverse collection of limited edition albums (5000 pieces), Feliciano delivers the following projects:
My Latin Street, vol.1 — Of greatest significance is Jose Feliciano’s sojourn along “My Latin Street.” This, the first of 3 albums in this collection, represents the consummate anthology of his musical roots, featuring much of what’s defined Feliciano as an Artist for so many years. Recorded in Europe and the U.S., songs in Spanish, English, and Italian are upbeat, introspective and romantic. Internationally-renowned guest vocalists and instrumentalists join Jose from a variety of genres. “My Latin Street” is the most comprehensive collection of music ever; poised and ready to celebrate The 2018 Golden Anniversary & Legacy of Jose Feliciano. Volume 2 is scheduled to follow later in 2017.

Happy Birthday, Les! — celebrates the Centennial Anniversary of the legendary Les Paul. Recorded with the Les Paul Trio at the Iridium Jazz Club on Broadway in New York City’s Times Square, the album captures some of the ambiance reminiscent of those Monday nights when Les and his Trio would ‘wow’ the crowd and leave them anticipating the next Monday. Jose and Les’ Trio spent two such Mondays recording a casual, organic album that surely would have made Les smile broadly on his 100th Birthday.

Jose Feliciano: Feliz Navidad! — While bending a knee to Feliciano’s first Christmas Album which produced the iconic, “Feliz Navidad,” with all of its enduring sentiments, this album not only speaks to the tradition and celebration of this time of year but also to a call for true and real Peace in our time. An interesting and varied mix of music; some, will be expected but others, certainly not.

Mozart’s Castrato Arias — FINALLY…Feliciano’s admittedly most challenging, and most satisfying, project reflecting his life-long passion for the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The album was recorded with members of the Sofia Symphonic Orchestra and male soprano, Arno Raunig. IMPORTANT FACT: Jose performs each of these pieces on classical acoustic guitar; a feat never before accomplished!

Djangoizing — The realization of a dream inspired by one of Jose’s childhood heroes, Django Reinhardt. Django’s gypsy swing moved Jose to explore and absorb his style of jazz, resulting in a brilliant collection of Latin-Gypsy Swing pieces he calls, Djangoizing. Simply speaking, with the corroboration of Harri Stojka, the Viennese-Roman-Gypsy jazz-swing guitarist, and his own stroke of genius, they simply sent the project swinging over the moon.

Jose Feliciano with Israel’s Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra — Jose performs live at the Nokia Arena with the celebrated Ra’anana Symphonette Orchestra, in Tel Aviv. Supported onstage by his long-time friend, conductor and arranger, Jimmie Haskell. This concert, along with the CD and DVD releases, is dedicated to the memory of Maestro Jimmie Haskell, as they shared the stage here this final time.
Jose Feliciano also announces his participation in the following projects:
Ruby Booby “I’m Comin’ to Find You, Daddy.” (A New Film) — Ruby (Tara Samuel) hitchhikes from Texas to L.A. in search of Jose Feliciano, the man she believes is her father. An Indie film by Busterhouse Productions and featuring Feliciano’s music throughout the soundtrack, “Ruby Booby” is a quirky, dramatic comedy about the innate pull of family ties, whether they be real or simply imagined.

YAKU – featuring Jose Feliciano — Exploring the poetry of World Music (Ethno) – a new and different genre for Feliciano where, along with his guitar, he retraces the journeys of a lifetime spent creating music for people all over the world and assimilates his experiences in a fusion of song. Developed by Yavor Roussinoff, Helmuth Schaerf and Kurt “Supermax” Haunensein, Feliciano was invited to join the ensemble bringing his own life-experiences to the eclectic world-music sound whose roots originated in the Balkans and were developed by ethno-music pioneer, Yavor Roussinoff.

The Sound of Vienna Project — From an exclusive engagement at Vienna’s historic Kahlenburg before 500 invited guests, Jose Feliciano offered his personal musical tribute to Michael Jackson just weeks after the singer’s tragic death. This concert, featuring Feliciano and other invited prestigious performing artists will be presented as a CD, as well as a DVD.

Streets Of London — with renown Austrian artist, Klaus Pruenster, Jose performs in this production of the single and video stream release.

Supermax – in this, his last album, containing, not only Love Machine, but also, Living in a World, both featuring Jose Feliciano, this collection is an album recorded in special honor to Supermax, Feliciano’s friend and fellow artist, in what’s being called a befitting and dignified tribute to Kurt Haunensein and his legacy.
